The functional role is to understand business processes, best business
practices, business law, the functional setup of EnterpriseOne, and how to translate
business needs into a properly configured set of programs within
EnterpriseOne.
Functional setup involves tasks such as creating program versions, creating
UBE versions, setting up branch plant constants, populating UDC tables,
entering AAI's, creating menus. Doing this setup properly requires understanding the
consequences in both functionality and within the database from the choices
you make in setting processing options and other system setup elements.
