Dan, are you referring to the Performance tab in ODBC? If so, I use "Enable Lazy Close Support" and "Enable Data Compression". I believe lazy close support is rather universal. Wether or not you want to use data compression will depend on your network. In a nutshell, enabling cmopression increases workload on ES and Workstation CPU, but is easier on your network. I have done testing and found little difference in performance or CPU use however. I went with compression simply because most workstations nowadays have ample processer but 10/100 networks are getting busier and busier as switching to a Gbit network is expensive.
