Web Client data entry

We are at SP22_D1 and are considering dumping Citrix for the HTML client. Is there anyone out there that has done this? Is there anyone who is doing real "heads-down" data entry on the HTML client? Does it work? Let me know your opinions. Thanks in advance for your responses.

HTML is NOT intended for heads down data entry. On some applications, productivity will go down to a crawl simply by the nature of how the web client works.

Citrix is still the way to go for data entry.

What do you men that HTML is Not intended for heads down data entry?

If a form (ANY FORM) is optimized for minimal keystrokes - checkboxes, tabs,
autofills - then the form will be the same on FAT, Thin and Web.

If you have examples that differ - please explain... use facts, not opinion.
If the web is slower - then that's what needs to be said.

Web IS SLOWER than terminal server. However, the performance impact on users (expressed in dollars), rarely overcomes the cost of a terminal server farm and corresponding IT support.

If you do choose web, make sure that you set expectations and staff correctly.

Re: RE: Web Client data entry

I apologize. Citrix is far better for heads down data entry when comparing it to HTML vanilla to vanilla. But Daniel may be correct. If a form is optimized for minimal keystrokes - checkboxes, tabs, autofills - then the form will be the same. However, you are then dealing with modifications. So, do your analysis and then make an informed decision.
