Disaster Recovery Plan

Hi List,
We are working on our disaster recovery plan, and I am looking for some real-world input. We are running ERP 8.0 Update 1 on an AIX/UDB enterprise server. In the event of a disaster, we would bring up our JDE system at the Sungard site in Philadelphia.

Our recovery window is 48 hours. We are trying to understand what needs to be backed up and restored for a successful recovery within the 48-hour window. Currently our plan is to only bring up the production environment. So in our minds the only systems that need to be restored are our enterprise server (App and DB), deployment server and web servers.

We will be performing a live test in a couple of months at the Sungard site. Has anyone gone through this exercise before? If so…

1) Did Sungard provide you with the same hardware you are currently running?

2) What was your recovery window?

3) Were you successful in bringing up the system based on backups alone, or was some software installation involved?

4) What components did you bring back online? Deployment server, terminal server, web server, etc..

5) Were you successful in recovering your JDE installation? If not, why?

6) Any tips as to what to watch out for?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
