I have a Citrix teaser which has me at a total loss.
Citrix farm is located abroad in country A. Image software is located in country B.
The aim is to attach images of invoices onto the JDE records using the attachment function and attaching then as URL's. This all works fine in theory (and we have proved it on our site). BUT here comes the teaser.
The user is in country B (with the image software). When they are in JDE and click to view the attachment the desire is to fire up the internet explorer on their LOCAL machine. This is to try and keep the network traffic down between the two countries.
I have been told that our release of Citrix can automatically cause the local copy of internet explorer to load. But my confusion is that this seems to be all integrated within JDE in the attachments screen. So will this approach work?
A rambling post I'm afriad but any Citrix gurus out there who could shed some light on this would be appreciated.
