Backdoor UDB DB2 Business Data copy

Hello List,

Probably a "OneWorld admin for dummies" question but here goes..

Can any step me thru how I can copy Business Data - PROD to Business Data - CRP using the UDB DB2 v7.2 Control Centre tool (or another alternative)?

R98403 takes too long and I'm looking for a backdoor solution to do a data refresh.

I've been thrown into the deep end and I'm not sure if a backup-restore (or redirected restore?) will do the job.. not being a UDB admin guru. I'm concern a restore will also restore the PD table space names and I'm not 100% if these can be changed to reflect CRP instead.

Thanks for the tips,
/Philip

One option would be to use the CPYLIB command from an AS/400 green screen
command line to replace the contents of the CRP Data library with the contents of
the Production Data Library. If you need to do this while there is active
use of the production library then you might want to use the previous nights
backup tape and do a RSTLIB from the backup of the production data library to the
CRP data library.

Sorry if I wasn't clear last time.. I'm using DB2 UDB on Windows 2000.

Thanks,
