Deploying JDE web without JAS

The web development group here is planning to deploy JDEdwards appletts without a JAS server becuase they believe it is not needed.

Has anyone dones this. I personnaly think their nuts.

Xe, sp18.1, Oracle 8.1.7, NT4

depends on the definition of the applet. If they intend to pull
information from OW tables, then it's entirely possible. If they are
intending on having the applet run something like address book...I agree
with you...they need to stop taking the drugs they are on. Unless, of
course, someone has a black market website giving away free OW code!

I would love to see them try.

Hey - if they're right, then everyone will benefit, so I think its worth them trying it out for a while !!!!

It might be that they're recommending an Open Source JAS solution however, which would be very cool - instead of Websphere. If they can post information on any success, it would certainly be appreciated.

Of course they're probably nutso.
