TCP/IP disconnects and V5R2

Ever since we upgraded to V5R2 back in March, we have been receiving frequent IP disconnect warnings for various IP addresses. Often the IP address is within our DHCP client scheme and there is no obvious record of why the AS/400 continues to try to connect to it.

IBM Support says that this is new to V5R2 and more of a noise maker than anything else. They have been unable to locate the reason for the continued attempts to reconnect and have advised me to run CHGTCPA and change the TCP close connection message from *threshold to *none.

Has anyone else experienced this and figured out the reason for the continued connection attempts from the AS/400 back to clients?

What IBM is saying is that the problem has always occurred. they have just changed something so that you get a message about it now. I don't think it is anything to worry about.
