We have just implemented FA and the accountants have this question....We need to know whether we should be computing tax depreciation on a monthly basis or a yearly basis and/or whether it makes any difference.... We have searched the manual and it is of no help.

Bert, let your accountants know that JDE will calculate depreciation on your
FA Tax books correctly whether it is done monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.
So you can be flexible based on when your tax returns need to be filed and
how closely you want to track what your future liabilities will be. Hope
this helps.

Bert,
Should not make any difference how often to compute the tax
depreication. Could even be done on a quarterly basis as well (to help
computer quarterly tax payments).

Subject: QTD in FASTR's

Just curious, but has anyone ever implemented a good way to get QTD
information in a FASTR? Using Q1 through Q4 in the Column Amounts field
gives the entire quarter, not QTD. We've always had to use hidden
columns to do calculations to get QTD which is a pain if you have a
report with very many visible QTD columns. Just wondering if anyone
knows of an easy fix for this. Thanks.
