We cut our 6-hour server build time in half by moving the Create BSFN builds
to a multi-threaded queue on the AS/400. Haven't really automated it, but we
check on the build after 5-6 hrs, and if the jobs have queued up, we just
move them off to a queue (only used for builds) that runs 3 at a time.
Haven't found much to speed up the client build.

Search KG for a GATS document "Configuring Multiple Job Queues for Use by
OneWorld." That talks about multi-threading for package builds.

We have experienced similar issues and what we found was that there are
three different places to set the Color Palette and the Window Size for a PC
/ Citrix / JDE connection. Once we had both color and size all setup the
same, our problems stopped.

First check under your Citrix Published Application Manager as to what your
Windows Colors are set to. We use True Color 24 bit. Then check the Window
Size. We use 1024 x 768.

Second on the workstation under the Citrix Program Neighborhood check the
Application Set Setting's Published Icon's Default Options and what the
Windows Colors are set as. Again we use True Color 24 bit. Then check the
Window Size. Again we use 1024 x 768 or Seamless Windows.

Third check on the workstation what the Desktop's Display Settings for Color
Palette is set as. Again we use True Color. Also check the Desktop Area
size. We use 1024 x 768.

We still on occasions have a problem when a user changes their workstations
display settings. But once they are changed back to True Color and 1024 x
768 and they have rebooted, JDE works fine.

full package build for production everyweek. No update builds. Generate DD
and Global Tables specs as well.
