We are relatively new to JDE. Our enterprise server is an AS/400. In the JDEB7334 directory on the IFS, there is a rather large accumulation of log files (JDX_xxxxx.LOG).

Is there a easy way of clearing them out en masse on a periodic basis??

Thanx!

You can use Client Access Operations Navigator. Go to File Systems, IFS, ROOT, JDEB7333. Click on the first entry, hold down shift key, click on last entry, right click & delete.

Good tip....but I want to schedule the process. I found the RMVLNK command and using that with some wildcard functions will allow me to write a CL and schedule it.

Thanks!

Ideally you would want the JDE services down when deleting the logs.

Rixone,
Do you want your AS/400 to be logging? This will seriously slow down performance on UBE processing. If your clients are logging, they will also see a serious performance hit. If you decide you are not intentionally logging, change it in the [DEBUG] section of both your server and client side JDE.INI file.

Good luck and welcome to JDE!
