Product Package - typical problem

Hi List,

I am having a typical problem when i am applying product packages.

I have noticed the problem in case of UBE and Tables..
1) Lets consider you have an UBE R557101 which is developed at site 1 and shipped to site 2. now the the site two after modification sends it back to site 1. Now when I apply this package , to my surprise i find that every thing the entire layout has been duplicated..
2) Similarlly, in case of tables when the package was applied the indexs got duplicated..

Any ideas friends what could cause such a problem.

On our Prod Pkg receiver system, we had to change our Spec Merge flags to Replace, not Merge. When we Merged PP'd objects, some (not all) UBE's and Apps appeared to have new changes laying over the top of original layout--like a cut and paste gone bad.

Thats exactly whats happening..any idea why does it occur at all. any reason
