Grid Tabs - Security Method?

My company's management wants us to create a static set of Grid Tabs for particular applications, then lock users out of creating others. I have seen the KG document that deals with Tab Security; I am unclear on whether this extends past allowing users to see tabs to also prevent users from creating new tabs. Please advise.

Hi Robert,

There are generally three things you can do with Tab Security: 1) Block the UserID/Group from "viewing" the tab(s), 2) Block the UserID/Group from "changing" the tab(s) or, 3) Block the UserID/Group from both changing and viewing the tabs. Go to Security Workbench, Tab Security, then select the UserID/Group you want to have Tab Security. You'll see two check boxes here under "Create with...". These are the check boxes to click on if you want to create Tab Security with the aforementioned options.

Hope this helps answer your question.
