Gentlemen:

I have an report ( ube) which was checked to the server. Now specs are corrupted. How can I restore this spec ( will it be from Deployment server under that pathcode or from database ). pls advice. How can i selectively restore an object...

Jaise :

There's no easy way to restore a single object from backup.

You have to restore :

a) Central Objects database (i.e. JDE_PD7333)
b) Deployment Pathcode (\\deployment\b7333\pd7333 and its sub-folders)
c) OL Entries for PD7333 (obj7333.f9861)

The only (that I humbly know...) to restore a single object is by saving it
using OMW (previously, you
should have created SAVE locations) and RESTORing it using OMW too.

If you have Xe and above, not sure which SP though, you can go into OMW and do a Get from the Form exit bar (not the middle Get button) and just select the pathcode you want to get the specs from (it will warn you about overwriting specs then prompt for the source path code). This is if you haven't corrupted the specs in all pathcodes.
