Unified Logon: English Menus for Spanish Users

Here's a weird one: We have Spanish users with Unified Logon set, with the option of selecting their environment. This is how it looks in the JDE.INI:

[SECURITY]
UnifiedLogon=1
UnifiedLogonServer=ENTERPRISE
ShowUnifiedLogon=1

[INTERACTIVE RUNTIME]
Initial_Language_Code=S

As you can see, we've set their initial_language_code to "S" for Spanish. Obviously, we have Spanish OneWorld installed, and these users have their language set to "S".

Here are our problems:
1) The environment selection screen comes up in English
2) The right-click pop-up menu comes up in English, too!
3) Some help topics come up in English.

We've found that setting UnifiedLogon "0" will make the user see the menus, etc in Spanish again.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? Thanks in advance.

Tim :

Unfortunately, JDE has never completely fixed up its foreign languages
support on forms, menus, etc.
I positively know that Spanish, French and Portuguese are not perfectly
implemented, your users
will sooner or later find UDCs, forms and menus (on Fat or Web clients) with
a mixture of English
and their own local language. For instance, I've seen lots of Spanglish and
Franglais OneWorld forms!
So far, the only way I know to fix it is to manually correct this UDCs,
Vocabulary Overrides, menus, etc.

Regards, Sebastian Sajaroff (endless pain with non English OneWorld users).

Thanks Sebastian. You're right-- this isn't the only problem I've seen in the Spanish language version. Anyone seen the "IMPLIC" user security problem? Took me two days to figure that one out. Ay, Señor...
