ERP8 and job launching

We upgraded to ERP8 last weekend and since then we have not had 1 day go past where we have not had to restart the jde services. Usually it fails in the evening after having successfully launched and completed several jobs via the scheduler , it then stops submitting with "error can't submit job" We have also had some occasions dring the day where users have reported a message "can't connect to database"
Earlier today the queues stop with "error" showing in submitted jobs.
The only message the server logs show is "unable to create database server connection. Having tested the error we can see that in fact there is no problem connecting to the database. As mentioned the only way to get thing going again is to retart the JDE services and all jobs restart and comlete successfully.
These problems also occur in our test environments
We are running ERP8 Base with a large number of ESU's
Service Pack 21.I1
Oracle 9.2.0.2 Database
HP-UX enterprise server
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

A couple of suggestions for you to check

1. Is your SGA to large ie are you allowing enough additional memory for all
your users & One World sessions to connect to the data base
2. Number of open cursors set too low in the init.oro file
3. Number of open files in the operating system set too low

Perhaps this may help. Sorry information is pretty generic. It's been a
while since we have been on HP-UX

<font style="font-family:'Arial';font-size:10pt;Hi Stasy,

We encountered the same issue after we upgraded to ERP8 SP20_O1. There was not
a day went by where we didn't have to stop and restart the jde services.
Sometimes a couple times a day. We worked with the response line for several
weeks and found out this was due to the connection problems with ipcsrv. They
wrote a patch for us to reconnect to the ipcsrv after the connection is lost.
Everything has been working great since then. Currently, we are still working
with JDE to find out the root cause of the problem. Have you opened a call with
JDE?

Re: re: ERP8 and job launching

Denver has basically put the problem as an oracle issue.
Still gathering more logs to send them.

Re: RE: ERP8 and job launching

Thanks. I've checked with our Unix and Oracle Administrators and they assure me that all is ok with your suggestions.
The problem is that there are no error logs appearing at the oracle or unix levels.
