Hard Commits changing to Soft

When making a change to a sales detail line after it has been hard committed
through pick, the committment gets changed back to an S. Then when sales
repost is generated the soft commit gets set against the primary location
regarless of the location listed on the detail line. This throughs off our
availability and multiple order end up being allocated to the same
inventory.

Has anyone else experience this? It only seems to happen on the orders that
use transportation. The only changes that are being made are for pricing
errors.

Hi Devin!
I would not use the same version of SOE to change an order as to enter it - e.g. change delivery date will NOT reprice or allocate stock etc.

I would take a look at the version you are using specifically the allocation option - change (or create a new) version which does not reprice/allocate (ETC - THERE are LOTS of options that can update the SOE in a way that is NOT desired!!) stock and just update header/detail fields as needed.
I think (maybe) you have the soft allocate turned on, on the version used.
Oh I agree this is probably another one of those "features" JDE likes to leave in the software to make our life interesting!!
