JAS Generation Error

All,

When trying to generate all objects for the HTML client I get a lot (100's) of the following:

Errors on JAS:
binary2obj failed: the binary array is null
Failed to select version from F983051 table

I believe this is caused by 'orphan' version, versions that the user created but forgot to check-in before the next package deploy.

Does anyone know what causes these errors, and how to clean them up?

Thanks,

Tom Davidson

Tom, I had this error. But I got thousands or them. I re-generated
F983051 itself first and most errors went away. The ones left I attribute
to orphan versions that never got checked in, as you suspected yourself.
Now, about cleaning up orphan versions there was a good discusssion on
the LIST some time (months?) ago. I would delete them from F983051 (once
you are sure that you can identify them properly).

Thanks, Gerd

RES: JAS Generation Error

We have 'solved' this issue. We normally do a full generation, and start by clearing the F98999* files. If we generate core objects, then generate everything we do not get the errors for versions. Even our 'orphan' versions do not generate the errors.

FYI.

Tom...thanks for your input. We have tried clearing the F98999x files and
doing a full gen in the order you mentioned.....and we still get the
error...
