B7332 & SQL2000/SP3

Hi List,

We are not sure JDE has certified B7332 on SQL 2000 SP3.

Is any one is using this combination?

Are there any new issues introduced?

I believe the issue with SP3 for SQL 2000 was with performance related
issues and MDAC. I could be wrong, but I thought I saw a blurb that
stated that MS has a hotfix that will take care of the performance hit
for this SP.

I'll try to get on the KG later and see if I can find it. I know there
are XE clients on SP3 SQL 2000, not sure about the ramifications of
B73.3.2.

Hi Mabbas :

I've tested SQL2000 SP3 on Xe and it works.
Remember that Xe, B7332 and B7331 use the same SP binaries. If it works on
Xe it has to work on B7332.

Encountered an issue as a side effect of SP3. SQL SP3 upgrades the MDAC to
2.7 SP1. We decided to test MDAC 2.7 on the workstations as well as the
database server. We also obtained and installed the aforementioned hotfix
from Microsoft.

Inquiries on the Address Book number, AN8, returned record - 1 into the grid
of the interactive application.
ie. QBE for AN8 #1100, grid displays A/B record with AN8 #1099, QBE for AN8
#1099, grid displays A/B record with AN8 #1098. Same results using UTB.

HOWEVER, using SSN field as a QBE returned the correct results?!

We did not have these same issues when removing OneWorld from the equation,
ie. Get External Data via ODBC within Excel.

Uninstalling MDAC 2.7, installing MDAC 2.6 SP?? (2 or 3, cannot immediately
recall) per the MTR, corrected the issue immediately.

Customer was running ERP 8.0 Update 1, SP21_J1.
