Web view icon grayed out in OneWorld Explorer

Since upgrading OneWorld XE to service pack 20 last month, certain users have lost the Web View facility in the OneWorld Explorer.

The icon is grayed out and can't be selected, and it only seems to affect certain users. We've tried deleting their profiles/overides etc. but still can't get it back. It seems to be happening at random.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? The problem didn't happen in SP19.

Yes we are experiencing the same issue. I've opened a call to JDE and they are asking me to look at the service pack levels of our Citrix servers etc. The problem doesn't exist on our FAT clients. We also went to SP19 with Update 5.

Hi Natalie,
this is what JDE told me.

Here is what happened. In SP18 they found that if you had
1) Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater and
2) Terminal Server and
3) Win 2000 or later
Then thin client would click on web view and couldn't get out of it without changing the
registry for that user.
So SAR 5531505 changed it so,
Web view is disabled when running under Win2000 in a terminal
server environment with IE 5.5 or greater .

I don't know what service pack you were on before 19.1 or when you changed to 19.1 but this appears to be what happened.

Hi Natalie,
just got another email from JDE. They say the web view clients are discoed.

" They have just discontinued the web view for thin clients, IE 5.5 and Win2K. That looks like how it's going to stay for now."
