Wesphere Load Balancing

Hello List...
We are soon to move from Citrix to Websphere Enterprise edition 4.0. We were looking at clustering together two JAS server for high Availability on Win2k Advanced Server. Has anyone got a clustered JAS solution in production / test out there that could offer some success / horror stories?

JD Edwards recommends using the Websphere redirector. In the SP21J Installation Manual, there is an excellent chapter that discusses how the redirector works and when best to utlilize.

Actually they seem to be moving away from the redirector towards server groups and clones in WebSphere. We're beta testing SP22 and that's the recommendation they've made now. Hurrah........ a whole new set of obscure Websphere settings to get my head around.

That said the cloning approach does look like keeping multiple instances in line simpler.
