C comp. for Sun Solaris

Hi List,

Would the GCC 3 for Sun Solaris work, I mean is it compatiable with JDE on the Enterprise Server (on Sun Solaris).
In the MTR it states the Forte C, C++.
has anyone used any other C compilier.
