I noticed that on the news announcement from JDE about Update 7 - that they were going to {finally} release Update 1 for ERP 8.0.

Its been certainly something that has been long in coming. I'm currently up to about 60 critical ESU's I install on each new ERP8.0 install that covers most issues - and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch more !

Anyone have any idea when exactly this update will be available ? They mentioned Spring "sometime" - and I know spring isn't officially until 4 days away - but ERP 8.0 would have been out almost a year before any baseline updates....

Right now the KG states that it will be released in April but it does not give a specific date.

Hi Jon,

As I am about to embark on a Xe to ERP 8 upgrade very soon, I am very interested in your post. In particular the critical ESUs you have had to apply. Would it be possible to see the list you have compiled?

I asked JDE for details on any critical ESUs that should be applied as part of upgrade. They pointed me at the 'ERP 8 Known Issues for Upgrades' which I had already seen.

Your input would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Actually - the list depends on the type of code that the customer is wishing to implement. For a Property Management company that has Finance, Purchasing and HR - I attach the following list that we implemented. You will probably have to go through and find additional ESU's through the KG.

Remember - this was a new installation of ERP8.0 on Microsoft SQL 2000 with Service Pack 21D1. All the following were listed as "critical ESU's" by the project team prior to the CRP being run...
