Planner ESU Installation

Hi,
I am installing Jdedwards OneWorld Xe. is it necessary to install Planner ESU after installing Deployment server , before installing Enterprise server
or after completing full installation we go ahead installing Planner ESU.

I'm not sure on this one. I think one of the steps in the installation of Update 6 is to install the latest planner ESU, but I could be horribly wrong and your system would never work, and in fact could become an expensive, job-eating paperweight. So maybe you should wait until someone else posts an answer.

Can anyone else post an answer?

Hi Tim,
I guess you are mixing up issues. The Question he has put up is only with respect to When to apply planner ESU. That is when once you complete the JDE Installation and testing the Setup.

I do following:
1. Install Deployment from CD1 and CD2
2. run jd_planner_esu.exe. Then do special instructions for "OneWorld not installed" section. And don't apply ESU via Software update application.
3. I begin and complete installation plan.
4. run jd_planner_esu.exe again. Then do special instructions for "OneWorld not installed" section. And apply ESU via Software update application for all environments except JD7333 and PD7333.
5. Apply ESU jd12367 and install SP20, relicense Deployment.
6. Apply other ESU, ASU , etc.

What is the real problem there?
Get me the exact problem, why are thinking of applying Planner ESU...Let me
know the CD Update Version & Service Pack so that we can guide you,

Thankx a lot for your help. we are installing Jde. so i thought whether to install planner esu before running installtino plan.
But now we have finished installing Planner ESU.
