Hi allen,
hope you could help me in this. I have installed Oneworld Xe, sp 13
Depl server - windows 2k
enter server - windows 2k, database - sql 2000
i have got update 6 cd. i dont have any previously updates.
Is there any special instruction to be folllowed to update 6.
regards
sathya
Hi Saytha,
Yes, there are *many* Special instructions. Look on the CD. There should be an HTML file called XU6.htm. There will be a link to "Special Instructions". There is also a version of this document on the Knowledge Garden which is categorized by modules used (Financials, etc). I would suggest using the KG doc, as it may cut down on your work if you are not implementing all modules.
Expect about 8 hours of work on the Special Instructions. You absolutely must do the special instructions or the Update will fail.
One other thing-- when you take the Update 6 in Spec Merge, *don't* leave the backup box checked. It won't work anyway and will add about 7 hours to the process. You can monitor Spec Merge status in the P98700.
