EDI

Good Morning

I am trying to implement EDI in JDE for sales orders. Does anyone know of anyway for a date to be pulled in automatically if an item backorders. Currently if we enter a sales order manually when it backorders we go to supply and demand and determine what the availability date should be and then put that in the scheduled pick date. Thru EDI is there anything that will do this. My goal is to not have any manual intervention for the orders that come through EDI.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi Carol... one suggestion is to set up preference profiles on your items
either individually or by grouping them and then giving them lead times...
for example.. A item group may have a 5 day turn around B have a 10 day...
and C a 30 day turn around... So when the order is entered... based on the
order you can set the promised delivery date to 5, 10, or 30 days out based
on the item.... You could ship it out right away if you have it... but it
would give you a little flexibility. Let me know. thanks, bobby
