UBE reading/writing to IFS

We want to read and write files to the I/Series new format files system in the IFS when running a UBE on the I/Series Enterprise server.

We are able to use the traditional library/file/member format but cannot seem to access the more unix like file system.

Does anyone have experience of doing this? Is there a particular BSFN we should use?

I/Series OS400 5.2 JDE, SP20_I1, Update 5 (going to 7)

We use and read files from a unix system using NFS and CPYTO via a series of CL programs & commands to move and manipulate files in and out of the Unix environment. It's pretty involved and there may be a simpler method but I'm not aware of one. Send me an email if you are interested in getting an overview of what we're doing.
