Dissappearing Batches

We have sporadically had batches disappear. The batch was in General Journal Review but then when we came back the next day it was gone.... The batch is in the F0911 but "Unposted". Other than having the User Delete the batch....

Has anyone heard of batches disappearing either before or after they errored out?

Have you checked to see if the header record is missing? If so, it can be
added back and then the batch can be posted.

rhoffman,
we periodically have batch headers disappear. This happens in A/P primarily but also G/L. JDE says "show us how you did it" which we can't. let me know of any success you have tracking down this problem.

Dave

Richard,
I've seen this happen when reviewing batches and changing information. It is not necessary to delete the records, simply recreate the batch hearder in F0011. Important elements include batch type, batch number, batch date. These are retreivable from the unposted batch records.

It sounds like you are describing the situation where the batch header is
missing. It sounds like you are saying that the F0911 records are there but
that you cannot see the batch in batch review.

Have you run the Transactions to Batch Headers integrity report (R007021)?
This will identify all the batches you have this problem with.

To add a batch header, from the G/L Advanced & Technical Operations menu
(G0931), choose Batch Header Revisions.

Much more direct to simply have the user go to General Journal Review,
from EXIT Bar, add a header for the batch number, batch type and simply
also add the date. The batch number that is missing can be found
on the integrity report. No technical assistance required - no need to
directly populate the table through the IT dept.
