service work orders

[crazy]Has anyone experienced have OLE attachments to service work orders in plant maintenance to just disappear? They attach fine, but then when you review the work order at a later date/time, the attachment is no longer there. This does not happen all the time. It seems to be very unpredictable.

this sounds like a problem we had with Mfg Work Orders whose attachments would disappear seemingly at random. What happens is that the key to the Attachment data includes the Order Suffix field. Some programs will change the Order Suffix value in F4801 (in our cause it was MRP Detail Message Revisions). Order suffixes were changed from blank to 000. The attachments would still be out there - but no longer be retrievable.

Hopefully given this info you can find a SAR/fix for your issue.

to have blank in the order suffix, but I will continue looking.
