Distributing Security Code with package after resetting SPC?

We have incremented our number of licenses with JDE. We have reset the SPC code on the server with P98SRV. We also have done this with some workstations.

A JDE support person told us that we could create a package with the new SPC code files and distrubute these to the workstations. This way we avoid running P98SRV on every workstation.

I've found how to include Features in a package in the "OneWorld Package Management" guide. I assume I need to distribute these files as a feature.

Has anyone distributed security files in a package to avoid having to run P98SRV on every workstation to reset the SPC code for the workstation? Is there a document for this, or can someone tell me what to distribute?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. We *did* have to apply ESU JD12367 to get the revision number for the clients to be correct (6 instead of 5 for SP20) to accept the new Authorization code. This is working fine now.

Tim,

try the following from my document 'FAT Client Management'. I've never tried
this with a OneWorld package, only with a script and Microsoft SMS.

1. b) Automatically Refreshing FAT Client Licenses

Performing a silent installation of any OneWorld environment and selecting
not to copy any files can refresh a client license. This procedure can then
be automated by SMS.

Run the following for each workstation

\\deploymentserver\b733\onewor~1\setup.exe -S -N -P PRODB733PA -d c:\b7

This is a silent install (30 seconds) that refreshes the client license
without installing any files.

This can also be done using SMS. Follow the above instructions for SMS
OneWorld deployments.
