MDAC 2.7 SP1 Causes UBE Slowdown

I'm not sure if anyone else has come across an issue with MDAC 2.7 SP1 but this is just an advance warning to test this MDAC release prior to going live with it. I'm pretty sure this MDAC release comes with SP3 for SQL2000 as after we installed it on our cluster certain UBE's ground to an absolute holt. In the next day or two I plan to install the MDAC on off our application servers just to check that it's not purely an issue with the cluster. If anyone else is running this MDAC release with or without problems I'd be interested to hear.
