Oneworld Workflow & Citrix

Hi

We are currently reviewing the Oneworld Workflow process.

We have successfully generated messages (shortcuts) to Lotus Notes.

However the shortcut assumes you have a thick client installed.

In most cases we have Citrix installed on the client so the standard
shortcut is not setup to handle this scenario.

Has anyway worked out how to alter the link to allow the Citrix client to
start instead of the thick client

Below is an example of a shortcut which is a .jde file.

[OneWorld.Application]
IsMenu=0
Application=P98805
Form=W98805A
idForm=W98805A
DataFormat=1|W98805A|3|6
Data= |32159

Re: Oneworld Workflow & Citrix

Robert,

have you looked at document ott-02-0053 on the Knowlege Garden?
It is supposed to address your specific issue.

Cheers,

Re: Oneworld Workflow & Citrix

We have gotten in to work in our test environment, but have not upgraded everything yet. Here's the skinny on it though...Your version of Citrix needs to be Metaframe XP FR2, once you have FR2 installed when you publish the app in Citrix the last screen of the wizard will ask you to "Select File Type Associations". You will have the .jde extension listed there and need to select it. Then on the clients computer go into "File Types" in the "Folder Options" and create a "jde" extension go to Advanced and Click "New" to create the Action. Under "Action" type "open" and under "Application used to perform action" type in the path as follows (tailored to your farm name and path). "C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client\PN.exe" /pn:"Farm Name" /app:"One World" /param:"\\Client\%1". Where Farm Name is your Farm name and One World is the name of your Published App. We are about to go live with ours, we have not gone to FR2 because we have not gone to SP21 yet. Hope it helps.

Re: Oneworld Workflow & Citrix

The down side to this process is that you HAVE to have ICA Program Neighborhood installed on the client. If you are using NFuse and the Web Client, it won't work because you can't configure the client piece... at least I couldn't find a way to do it. If anybody out there has the shortcut working with the Web Client, I would be VERY interested in seeing a post on how you did it.

Re: Oneworld Workflow & Citrix

I am sorry ask you this question on this post. I know it is a old one. But do you still feel the same that with Nfuse this will not work. How about using save target as and creating a batchfile "Launch.ica" . I know you citrix gurus can do it, could you please help?
Thanks
Regards
