Changing JDE Password Back to JDE???

Dear List,
I need some advice. I'm getting ready to install ERP 8 on the deployment
server. Do I need to change the JDE password back to JDE when doing the upgrade
from Xe to ERP 8.0? We changed the JDE password (this includes: Windows login,
password to access the database, server's jde.ini, JDE services, ... basically,
it's everywhere where JDE is used) after the Xe installation. Any complications
if I don't change the password?

make sure the Database Owners have their pwd=Owner.
or change your jde.ini:
;Owner=pwd

[DSPWD]
ESU7333=ESU733352
ESUDTA=ESUDTA52
ESUCTL=ESUCTL52

Tet :

a) You need to set JDE DBMS and JDE OneWorld password back to JDE
before proceeding with your ERP 8 install.
b) It's not necessary to alter Windows JDE (NT user) password.
c) If you don't set JDE passwords as 'JDE', several hundreds of
grey windows will popup during Table Conversion processes asking
for JDE passwords.

I didn't change the password when I upgraded my B7332 to XE. I think it is
not necessary.
And a question - aren't you going to test everything on a test system before
doing the real upgrade?

Hi Alex,

When you say test everything on a test system before doing the real upgrade,
are you referring to an environment besides PD? We are going to do the upgrade
on PY first.

I have a question: Since you didn't change the password when you did your
upgrade from B7332 to Xe, did you encounter any problems at all? How about
during Table Conversion?
