How does Citrix kick them out? A memory violation error? A licensing
message?

We have experienced the same thing. It is very intermittent. We haven't been able to nail down a cause. If you get any helpfull info, please post them. I, of course, will do the same.

What version of Citrix are you running?

Have you installed the Citrix Service Packs and One-offs?

Have you deleted the user overrides?

I recently got the following response from GSS regarding citrix issues
----------------------------------------------------
Now, we have seen several issues related to OneWorld® using Citrix Metaframe
1.8 / XP, anything like the following:

> 1) General system instability in OneWorld® App's. App's suddenly stop
> working, crash, etc.
> 2) Random crashes in various app's. where some type of popup message
> stating an invalid memory read/overwrite occurred, etc.
> 3) Apparent screen freezes / lockups in any JDE App. Especially
> immediately after hitting Find, or OK, buttons.
> 4) Disconnections of user's Citrix session (i.e., whole Citrix session
> simply just disappears from screen suddenly)
> 5) Anything else similar to the above.
Now, in regard to those most of these issues/resolutions have been SARed
and checked into SP 20_N1. Thus our advice to you would be to apply SP
20_N1. The targeted GA date for N1 is Feb 3rd.

Has anyone applied these Service Packs and what was their impression of the results ?

Also, what happened with User Overrides after applying the service packs.

Thanks

Hi JDElist,

We have the same kind of problems as described below. Does SP20=5FN1=20
resolve some problems? Any other solution ?=20

Thanks

We have these same problems and have found that it has to do with the display settings on the users computer. If citrix "paints" the screen at a resolution of 800x600 and the user's display is set to 1024x768, then the freezes, debug messages etc happen. Also, user overrides are heck on Citrix. We finally just disabled them.

Yes we have the same issues and have been working on resolutions for over a year now. We are considering disabling useroverrides also. We will be installing SP20_Q1 in April with hopes of correcting some of these. Once gain has anyone applied SP20_N1 with positive results?

We have applied SP20_N1. It didn't not resolve any of our issues. We are still getting referenced memory errors and screen freezes. We are also getting several "Invalid Overwrite" errors.

How did you disable User OVerrides? We "disabled" them by not allowing them to save them in F98950. So this would allow them to modify their screens, but if they logged out those formats would not come back because they weren't saved in F98950.
However, once we did this it still didn't mitigate the memory errors.
I'm curious as to how other people are handling UserOverrides and if it mitigates any of the memory errors.

Did you delete the overrides before applying SP 20_N1, also check your SP level on Internet explorer it should be SP2 for IE 5 or move to IE 6 SP1 if you have not done so yet, also what MDAC version are you on.
