Backin up OneWorld

Currently backing up our Enterprise server with Tivoi Storage Manager using normal incremental filesystem backups.

However have heard that in order to have a usable backup of your OneWorld code, the services need to be stopped to close certain files before the backup is taken. Can anyone confirm this?

Is anyone using any sort of interface between TSM and OneWorld to handle open files and online backups.

(Data Server is separate in this config using Oracle online backups)

Xe SP19.1 Update 5
AIX 5.1
TSM Server 4.2.1.1.3
TSM client 5.1.1

James :

Yes, files under \jdedwardsoneworld\ddp\b7333\xx7333\spec and \bin32 may be
locked if you don't shutdown services before backup.

Re: RE: Backin up OneWorld

Sebastian,

Cheers - do you shut down services before backing up the code? Have you attempted a restore from backup as well?

Thanks,

James.
