Can I erase old ESU/XU OMW Projects and Packages?

(We have OneWorld Xe, Update 6, SP19.1, Oracle)

In this installation, I put on SP19.1, Update 6, and several ESUs. As a result, there are many, many OMW projects owned by JDE. There are also packages for each ESU, Update and SP.

1) Can I safely get rid of these packages and OMW Projects?
2) What are these packages and OMW projects for? (For example, the accompanying document said I had to create a full package anyway after applying Update 6, so why do they give me a package?)
3) Why do these packages and OMW projects exist in both "real" environments (PD and brothers) *and* in the JDEPLAN environment?

Thanks in advance.

JDE Creates default packages with each update and each ESU for each Path Code the updates are applied to.

Once you have built and deployed a package for the corresponding update and everything is tested and is ok you can move the OMW projects to a completed status and delete the packages.
