There was a breaking news document (OTM-02-0040 on 11-28-2002) that
mentioned errors occur on the R98407 for the F969000, F969001, F969002,
F969005 and F969006 when applying an XU5, XU6, XU7 to PD7333 when
Planner ESU JD16916 was applied.

We applied XU5 with a prior Planner ESU so we didn't get the error but
I wanted to investigate where these tables were. After looking at this
document, I'm not sure where the tables are suppossed to reside either
because the document mentions Control Tables - PROD as the text to
change.

Our F969000, F969001, F969002, F969005 and F969006 for DV, PY, and PD
are in the business data libraries on the AS400 not the control table
libraries, they don't have any OCM mappings, plus they are empty. For
Pristine they are in the Control Tables libraries.

Can anyone provide any information on these tables, usage, where are
they to reside?

Grant.

Hi Grant

I'm just going through XU7 on an AS/400 from XE base - and SAR 6018287 Special Instructions explicitely tells me to "Map the following tables to appropriate control table datasources according to the environment" for the F969006, F969005, F969002, F969001 and F969000

I was searching on JDEList to confirm when these tables were to be used - when I came across your post. I think both of us have in effect confirmed that these tables should be mapped to Control Tables -XX7333 and OCM Mappings should be correctly set up. I confirmed that there are a number of business views that go over these tables.

These files are part of the Solution Explorer, the new interface introduced for OneWorld. (The Lightbulb icon that gets put into your menu's and on your desktop when you run a client installation.)

When the solution explorer was originally produced in B73.3.2, these files were placed in the 'Business Data - xxx' data source. As of Xe, it was decided that these files really belonged in the 'Control Tables - xxx' datasource.

This meant that the files must be generated into that data sources and the appropriate OCM mappings must be created to point to the new files. This is the reason for these special instructions on that SAR.

I hope this helps.

Email me at [email protected] if you have any additional questions about this.

Take care,

I didn't see my reply go through so here it goes again.

Thanks to both of you. This will probably save me some headaches in the future. We aren't using the Solution Explorer yet. I blew away the tables in the business libraries (they were all empty) and followed the instructions and regened the tables and indexes in the control libraries. OCM mappings look ok everywhere.

Grant.
