EDI - Purchasing (Standard JDE Functionality G47)

We need a batch program to create orders from electronic messages plus a
facility to automate receipts. We are under the impression that the first
requirement can be met through their system (47) but are not sure about
automated receipts. We are looking to translate (inbound) PO information
from an external source into JDE. The information we have on this area is
very limited - any advice on this subject is most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Kam

Running inbound PO's (into JDE SO's) is no problem (populate files F47011,
F47012 and use DW P47011. Some EDI knowledge is necessary to handle set up
issues, or a trawl through the manual might suffice.

What sort of receipts are you talking about, goods receipts (inbound
notification from warehouse from example), or outbound receipts for monies
received, or acknowledgement for inbound remittances, etc?

Email me if I can help further.
