Xe Upgrade on 2nd box

Happy New Year JDEList!

Just wanted some insight into an upgrade situation I've run into. I want to
upgrade from B733.1 to Xe running on an AS400 BUT I want to add a new
enterprise server for the upgrade so that I can have B733.1 on one AS400 and
Xe on the other running co-existent on 2 instances of World (one per box).
Does anyone know the best way to do this? i.e. Save/Restore from from AS400
to the other? Add the 2nd Enterprise server before/after deployment server
upgrade?

Questions:
What will your final config look like?
Will the old as400 go away after go-live?
Are you planning to move one or two of your environments to the new box, upgrade them and leave production on the old box as B733.1? (I just did this last month)

Remember if you plan on using only one deployment server the deployment server can only be one version at a time. You can use snapshot to switch back and forth between B733.1 and XE but if you make any mods after the initial upgrade they can't be brought over unless you run spec merge again.
