RES: Package Creation works in PD, not in PY

Tim,
your parent package in PY is probably corrupted. Best would be to rebuild a
full package in PY. Or restore the parent package from backup tape.

We create a package which contains Versions, UBEs, and Tables. We can build
this package in PD on a development workstation, no problem-- it takes about
15 minutes. But when we create a package with the same objects from the
same machine, but in PY, the build hangs and never recovers (we waited 1.5
hours).

All of the objects have been checked in to the server from OMW in both
environments. The last line in the BuildError.txt for the package is:

24/12/2002 12:58:39 0 Updating parent package TAM file gbrspec.

In the package which builds successfully from PD, this same line appears,
followed four minutes later by
24/12/2002 10:20:43 0 Successful Build of Package 'PD7333U003', 12/24/2002
10:20.

Can anyone give us ideas for why this happens? Thanks.
