Simulated Cost Rollup won\'t run on server

I've been trying for two months to get our full simulated cost rollup (R30812) to work on our HP9000 server, but with no luck. I applied ESU # JD17416, which is supposed to provide some memory allocation relief, but it is still only getting part-way through the rollup and then the UBE ends in an error. FYI, we are trying to run the full (multi-level) cost rollup on about 29,000 items (all one branch/plant).

I've logged a call with JDE, but no resolution has been found yet.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Re: Simulated Cost Rollup won\'t run on server

Thank you to all you JDELister's out there who have set up your e-mail so that it does not send an out-of-office to JDE List posts.

To the 10+ of you who haven't done that yet, you make it a real pain to post questions and answers on JDE List. I would appreciate it if you would please configure your e-mail to NOT send out-of-office replies to messages coming from JDEList.

Thank you for your consideration of this in the future.

RE: Simulated Cost Rollup won\'t run on server

Hi Don!

I have been doing some work at a client where we have had exactly the same
problem. They are doing the final load of data and a lot of the problems
have been to do with no b/pl record for the uploaded BoM's, co/by planning
table not being setup correctly, feature %ge being setup for 0 rather than
100 (in our case!) and probably one of the major ones - not rolling up in
the correct sequence in a multi-plant situation.

The cost rollup seems to be suffering some of the problems I saw in 6.x in
World, particularly if you are a mixed or process based install. Note I do
not think JDE have fixed the issue with parallel mode for process

Take a look at: -
5319608
6268884
6264875
these ESU's now relate to baseline ESU 17416

Also we have had issues with the number of items (about 18k in their case),
which was a problem with World (array sizes) and we suspect that the same
problems are hidden within OW. We split the rollup into its levels and
didn't use the blowout, at least then it ran through!
We still have some issues that we are hoping the ESU's will fix.

I hope this helps!

Best regards

Peter

Hi Don,
Not sure if you managed to fix your cost rollup issue - but here is an ESU
hot off the press (yesterday!!) which may help....Note I have not taken a
look at this yet - but this came directly from my client
