Citrix XP ADF Packages

Has anyone had any experience using Citrix XP ADF packages to deploy OneWorld XE packages to an entire Citrix farm? I am curious to see if anyone has tried recording a package update to a Citrix Server and the deploying it to a server farm running the Installation Manager Service.
 
We tried and it took longer to build the Citrix package than just deploying it to 10 servers manually. We are planning to revisit this for update packages.

Probably not what you want to hear, but it's reality. I know this can work better, but we gave up for the time being.
