ESU on remote client

Hey List

Part way into an upgrade from B733.2 to Xe (fingers crossed not looking too bad at the moment).

However we have an urgent need to apply an ESU into our B733.2 system into the CRP pathcode. But the deployment server is running Xe. So any ideas on how to get the ESU applied?

Snaphopt didn't work on the deployment server during the upgrade so that's probably not an option (unless you know otherwise). Is there any way to use a remote client to apply an ESU? Or any other wierd and wonderful ways to get around this?

Many Thanks

Pete

Hmmm

not a good situation to be in, since the registry was modified on the Deployment server and prevents you from installing ESU's to the B7332 directory.

This is certainly a reason why a temporary sandbox deployment server makes sense in an upgrade.

However, if your ESU is purely Business Function changes, then I would extract the ESU on another machine (it might be necessary to install this machine as a temporary deployment server) - and manually move the .c and .h files that you need across to your deployment server - then, using a fat client configured for B7332 - run a package build.

Sorry I couldn't provide more help !
