Direct Ship and Landed Cost

[shocked]Apparently landed costs do not update the SD or OD on a direct ship order. According to SAR 5316012 this is only being requested by a minimum number of clients and is therefore not planned for development.

I would have thought that this ability is fundamental to the correct operation of the SD/OD and landed costs. Since the actual costs are not known until the product has been purchased and the shipment has been arranged for the client, shouldn't there be an ability to update the SD costs from the OD, after the OD has been received through the addition of landed costs?

In other words, when adding landed costs, I would expect that any profit adjustment would require these additions. Does anyone know of a way to add freight, harbour fees, etc. to a direct ship order so that the costs will appear in cost of goods sold line for direct ship orders.

Sounds like you are looking at Inco terms.....

There are a few options
1) Buy a package (there are a few which "integrate" with JDE, some
apparently out of the box ! :) )
2) Use pricing adjustments - either through standard sales or through
transportation
3) Manually add these charges on before invoicing

I have done all three and cheapest/best way is option 2, where I used
order level repricing (through Advanced Pricing) to add on lines based
on the Inco term.

Hope this helps

Best regards
