Audit trail

Is there an audit trail over customer masterfile changes in the address book in OneWorld. I believe that there used to be an audit trail over World AB changes. This was not available in One World but was going to be reintroduced in Xe.

The audit trail functionality will be available with the service pack due
out the middle of this month. From all reports, you will be able to
identify the field within a table you'd like to track, and then a table
will be created per tracked item (so I wouldn't go hog wild with audits).
If the audit works as claimed, every change to that field in the audited
table will write a record that tracks the date, time, user (real user,
not the system user), machine ID, and keep copies of the before and after
record.

This functionality is supposed to be able to be used on any table, and
field.

Hi James,

You can do this under XE.

Against the Processing Options of the address book (P01012) you can specify the version of the customer master program (P03013) to use.

Then against the processing options of customer master program you can specify the master business function (P0100042) to use.

Then against the processing options of this mbf you can enter a transaction type and an image. The type should be JDECM. These are normally used for outbound interoperability (ie sending records to other systems) but also meet audit needs. The records can then be found in the F03012Z1.

Hope this helps

Neil.
