Can\'t deploy full server package

I'm having difficulties deploying a full package to my enterprise server. The package I'm trying to install is a full package for a path code called OP7333, which is simply a copy of the PD7333. The package build went fine. When I try to deploy the package to the enterprise server, the jde.log says that the deployment failed, with this in the jde.log

2056/376 Tue Nov 19 12:18:20 2002 spkgeng.c457
PKG0000013 - Package Deployment to JDEENT failed with No file.

and the pdf report gives this message:

Effective Date: 15/11/2002
Machine Key: JDEENT
Effective Time: 10:06:41
Port Number: 6009
Package Name: OP7333OP2
Path Code: OP7333
Package Status: 20
Deployment Status: Approved
Error Code: 5
Error Description: Internal Error

On the enterprise server, the \JDEdwardsOneWorld\ddp\B7333\OP7333\bin32 directory is empty after the deplyment, although it contained a copy of the same directory from the PD7333 path code before the deployment. I found no discernable error codes in the jdedebug.log.

Has anyone seen something similar to this?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can\'t deploy full server package

Tim,
Haven't seen that error before but was wondering if the package can be deployed to a fat client.

Re: Can\'t deploy full server package

Yes, the client part of the package installs fine to fat clients (is that what you meant?) Thanks.

Re: Can\'t deploy full server package

I have experienced the same thing. What fixed this for me is to stop OneWorld services then copy all files from \JDEdwardsOneWorld\ddp\B7333\PD7333\bin32 to \JDEdwardsOneWorld\ddp\B7333\OP7333\bin32. Restart OneWorld services and deploy package.

RE: Can\'t deploy full server package

11-22-02 - We have an open call with JDE currently about this issue. What
we have found that the issue happens different times to different
enviornments. It's only when deploying a full package to the server. On
the R9825D we receive and Internal Error Code 14.

To correct the problem, we have to stop and restart the JDE services. What
I find is that two of the JDENET_K kernels are hung. Each time they have
been one of the Work Flow Kernel and one Call Object Kernel. Once I have
all of the services stopped and restarted the full package deploys fine.

JDE is unsure that causes it, but they are things that it is a timing issue
with some process that maybe running at the very moment I click deploy. But
we are still working the issue.

Re: Can\'t deploy full server package

I get this frequently when deploying full packages to either our enterprise server or our application server. All i do is rename the Bin32 and Spec folders and deploy the package again. When the deployment starts it recreates those folders. I was told a while back that something is causing the files to be in use. This way you don't have to stop the services.
