Negative commitments are generated if you have credit orders entered but not
yet ship confirmed or sales updated. Its possible that there is a bug
somewhere in the software that is creating negative commitments as well.
You should run the Repost Open Orders program to have the commitment fields
cleared and recalculated. Note: This program doesn't do anything if there
are no open orders for a specific item number.

Sales commitments have been an issue with JDE for a long time and the best
way to solve it by running update sales orders reposts.Re post R42995 ia the
program to use. We used to use it twice a day. It used to be scheduled job.

We have seen this too, never found a cause, Reposting Work Orders and =
sales
orders adjusts the committed quantities (as long as you have open sales
orders for these items).=20
