Table conversion failing

Hi list

I have designed a TC UBE, which maps JDE tables to foreign tables.

Everything is fine, only the insertions are failing. I used the same foreign userid/password combination, I use in the data source, through SQL plus and I am able to insert the data.

Please find the UBE.log attached.

I have given up!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Yogi

Re: Re: Table conversion failing

Maybe a silly question, but have you got the 'Issue a write for this event' ticked? Or is maybe the 'insert row' command remmed out or in a location in your ER where it may not be executed?

Rgds,

Well. Have a issue write checked and it is not commented too.

I had forgotten to attach my logfile. Thats what it looks like, although I had mailed it as an attachment.

Hi List

I have finally solved my problem. Actually, JDe has got a column name restriction of 20 characters, which we already know. But, while insertion, it uses the truncated characters to insert data, which makes the insertion to fail.

So, I have switched to a temp table solution, because, I cant change my production table column names to suit JDEdwards convinience.

I am penning this, as this might be useful somewhere.

Ofcourse, not to forgot, JDEdwards support promptly provided me list of SAR's which were already on this issue, and promised GOOD DAYS, in the next version.

Warm Regards
Yogi
