Purpose of PY7333\\username directories on ES

I have seen this question a couple of times lately and thought I might try to help clarify:

The purpose of the directories you mention is to serve as a temporary storage location for specs when submitting a UBE to the Enterprise Server. This is what allows a user to submit a UBE that they have changed the specs on to the Enterprise Server and have the changes appear without having to build and deploy the UBE to the Enterprise Server. Note that this does not work with a brand new UBE.

The directories to which I am referring are the ones that show up as PathCode\ (or /) username on the Enterprise Server.

They usually appear only in the pathcode that is specified as the default pathcode in the jde.ini

I have never seen them cause any ill effects but I suppose one could delete them if it really bothers ya'

Perhaps some others have some *verifiable* incidents where these directories caused an issue?
