Can the \"create shortcut\" be secured?

Hi--your help is always appreciated!

Can we secure the "Create Shortcut" from the row exit so this option is not available? If so, how?!

Thanks again-

David,

If this is a true Row Exit (I tried to find the button, but couldn't figure
out what application you were using) you can apply Exit security so that
the button is greyed out. I have applied this in several of our
applications and it works very well. You can apply this to groups or
individual users just like all the other security. You need the
application number and the form where the button appears and from there you
just apply the security to the proper button on the form. If you need
further help let me know.

Thanks and have a great day,

Re: Can the \"create shortcut\" be secured?

David,
Laurie is rirght. You missed the Row exit. The "Create Shortcut" is in the Tools menu not in the Row.
Unfortunately, you can not secure it in the Exit Security of Security Workbench because you can secure "custom" exits only but not the "standards" like Find, Select etc. "Custom" exits means: they have been added to the form with FDA as "User Defined" and Short and Long text isn't grayed out when you select it in the Form exits list of FDA.
Unfortunately, you also can't secure it in the Action Security, I suppose, you know it already.

I'm very sorry that couldn't help.

Happy New Year!
